18.12.09 - We are now using Virgin Money Giving for Online Donations. They are a non-profit organisation offering the cheapest way for charities to receive donations online. If you would like to donate to us or if you want to fundraise for us, Virgin Money Giving provides an easy way to do so.
20.10.09 - The ladies of Keynsham Baptist Church are going to be holding a 'Ladies Pamper Evening' on 11th November to raise funds for For-ethiopia. Why not treat yourself before the Christmas festivities take over?
19.10.09 - A big thank you to everyone who came to 'A Taste for Ethiopia' on Saturday evening! It looks like the event made close to £4,000 (tbc) which will go directly to next years projects in Addis Alem. Photos of the event are on our Facebook site.
The big news of the evening was that Dr Alice Roberts has become our Patron! Not only is Alice interested in Ethiopia through her latest TV series, but she was also a patient at Bradgate Surgery making her the perfect choice!
Finally we would like to thank all the helpers, the Eden jazz band, the companies that donated auction items and Woodlands Church, without whom we would not have been able to present this event!

09.10.09 - Dudley and Rob were asked to introduce the charity at a gig in Glastonbury. Zion Train were appearing at the event organised by Back 2 its Roots with half of the profits going to For-ethiopia.

25.04.09 - Malcolm completed the Nice Half Marathon in 1 hour 57 minutes and 29 seconds on a very hot day. Apparently the Med was very refreshing afterwards! Well done Malcolm.
10.04.09 - Malcolm Terry is running the Nice Half Marathon on April 19th and has kindly agreed to raise sponsorship for For-ethiopia. Malcolm works for HSBC and is doing community work with St Joseph's RC Primary School. 23.02.09 - Richard Spink of 'Carbon Neutral Expeditions' has kindly agreed to include For-ethiopia as one of the charities they will support as part of their carbon-offsetting for their two month expedition to Greenland! Further updates to follow but you can read more on their site.

For-ethiopia is working to bridge the gap in childhood in partnership with students from the School of Tomorrow in Addis Ababa, who are keen to fundraise and provide child friendly spaces for children that are in a disadvantageous position. This fundraising activity is going to take place over the coming festive season. Activities like nativity plays and paintings are planned to generate funds from parents for this good cause.
01.12.08 - Our 'alternative' christmas present brochure is now available allowing you to give something special instead of the usual presents this year. Take a look and choose how much you wish to spend. All profits go direct to our projects in Ethiopia.

18.10.08 - A lot of tickets have been sold for 'Table Talk' tonight, but we are still getting a lot of late interest. If you would like to come along and have not yet purchased a ticket, don't worry, tickets will be available on the door.
25.09.08 - Tickets are now on sale for the Samuel Taylor Coleridge event 'Table Talk'. Priced at £12.50 (£10 concessions) it should be an entertaining evening in the Church where Coleridge was married in 1795.
18.08.08 - Dr Jason Victory completed the Three Peaks Challenge in 25 hours and 40 minutes! He raised a fantastic £532 in sponsorship towards health projects in Addis Alem. Thank you Jason!

We then receive commission from the relevant store. Incidentally we do not personally endorse any of these companies so please check the prices and reliability before purchasing.

03.01.07 - A new coffee shop called 'Kuvuka' will be opening on Saturday 13th January at 113 Stokes Croft, Bristol. Run by Sean Clarke, the aim is to raise awareness of issues in Africa and provide a place where people can meet, chat and drink great coffee. Art from various artists will also be on display.
